The Indian cricket team ended their 11-year wait for an ICC trophy after they won the T20 World Cup 2024 under Rohit Sharma held in the United States and the West Indies.
Apart from clinching the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian cricket team has been impressive across all formats in 2024.
Rohit Sharma’s men defeated England 4-1 in a five-match Test series at home in March.
The Men in Blue also thrashed Afghanistan 3-0 in a three-match T20I series in India in January.
Under the leadership of young captain Shubman Gill, India secured a 4-1 T20I series win in Zimbabwe in July.
Led by newly-appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir and new T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, India beat Sri Lanka 3-0 in a three-match series away from home.
However, India then succumbed to a disappointing 0-2 ODI series defeat against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.
Following the conclusion of the Sri Lanka series, the Indian cricket team will get a much-needed break ahead of a packed schedule.
India will host Bangladesh for two Tests and three T20Is in September. The India cricket team schedule 2024 also includes the highly-anticipated Test series against New Zealand in October and later versus Australia Down Under in November.
