The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Sub-regional Qualifier A 2024 will start on August 17 and run till August 24 in Apia, Samoa.
Organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Sub-regional Qualifier A 2024 will see as many as four teams compete in a total of 12 matches across eight days.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Sub-regional Qualifier A 2024 is part of the qualification process for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 to be hosted by Sri Lanka and India.
Hosts Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji and Vanuatu are the four teams that will participate in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Sub-regional Qualifier A 2024.
As per the schedule, each team will play the other three sides twice in a double round-robin format. The team finishing on top of the standings after all the matches will qualify for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Regional final.
All matches in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Sub-regional Qualifier A 2024 will be played at the Faleata Oval No 2 in Apia.
A total of eight teams from the East Asia-Pacific region will compete in the sub-regional phase to qualify for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
In this phase, two tournaments will be staged with four teams in each event. While the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Sub-regional Qualifier A will be held in Samoa, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Sub-regional Qualifier B will take place in South Korea in September.
