The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier C 2024 will commence in Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday, November 23.
Botswana will play Eswatini in the opening match at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval on Saturday at 02:30 PM IST.

Sierra Leone will face Ivory Coast at the same venue at 06:45 PM IST while hosts Nigeria will meet Saint Helena at the University of Lagos Cricket Oval at the same time to round off the first-round matches of the six-team tournament on Saturday.
Each team will play one match against all other teams in a single round-robin format and the top two sides will progress to the regional final.
The tournament will have a total of 15 matches, three each day with a rest day in between, that will be shared between the two venues in Lagos.
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier C 2024 is part of the qualification process conducted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the Men’s T20 World Cup in 2026 to be hosted jointly by India and Sri Lanka.
The regional final, to be held in 2025, will have eight teams participating with the top two teams in that tournament qualifying for the T20 World Cup 2026.
Namibia and Uganda, having played in the T20 World Cup 2024, received byes in the sub-regional qualifiers and will directly feature in the regional final.
They will be joined by six teams, two each from Qualifier A, Qualifier B and Qualifier C of the Africa sub-regionals.
Currently, Tanzania and Malawi from Qualifier A and Kenya and Zimbabwe from Qualifier B of the Africa sub-regionals have made it to the regional final.
The top two teams from this tournament will complete the qualification process for next year’s Africa regional final.
Out of the six teams in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier C 2024, hosts Nigeria are the top-ranked T20I side at 36th in ICC’s latest ranking list with Botswana at 50th.
Sierra Leone and Eswatini are ranked 69th and 82nd respectively, whereas Saint Helena and Ivory Coast are yet to be ranked as per the latest ranking list of ICC.
