The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Regional Final 2023 will start on July 22 and run till July 29 in Papua New Guinea.
The winner of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Regional Final 2023 will qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 to be played in the West Indies and the United States.
Hosts Papua New Guinea, Japan, Philippines and Vanuatu are the four teams that will compete in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Regional Final 2023.
As per the schedule, each team will play the other side twice in a double round-robin format. The team finishing at the top of the standings after all the league matches will qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next year.
Vanuatu qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Regional Final 2023 after topping Qualifier A with five wins in six matches.
Japan pipped Indonesia on net run-rate to advance from Qualifier B to make the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Regional Final 2023.
Papua New Guinea and Philippines made it to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Regional Final 2023 having received a bye after competing in the global qualifiers last year.
All matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Regional Final 2023 will be played at Amini Park cricket ground in Port Moresby.
