Hobart Hurricanes (HUR) will take on Perth Scorchers (SCO) in the 12th match of Big Bash League 2021-22 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Tuesday, December 14.
The Hurricanes recently bounced back from their defeat by getting better of defending champions Sydney Sixers in a rain-curtailed match. With five points from two matches, the Matthew Wade-led HUR are currently placed fifth in the BBL 2021-22 standings.
Last year’s finalist Perth Scorchers, on the other hand, are currently the only unbeaten side in the tournament. The Aston Turner-led side are placed second in the BBL standings with seven points from two matches.
HUR vs SCO Dream11 prediction
Perth Scorchers have a clear edge over Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL head-to-head record, winning nine of the 15 matches played between these two sides. The Hurricanes have secured six victories. Furthermore, SCO have won their last three matches against HUR and they will start as favourites at the Bellerive Oval on Tuesday.
HUR vs SCO Dream11 team tips for Big Bash League 2021-22
Top tip: Best batter
Perth Scorchers opening batter Colin Munro smashed a blitzkrieg hundred (114 not out of 73 balls) against Adelaide Strikers to help them claim back-to-back wins on Saturday. The southpaw hit eight fours and six maximums to notch up a scintillating ton in the BBL 2021-22. The Kiwi batter is likely to continue his impressive form against Hobart Hurricanes.
Top tip: Best bowler
Australia fast bowler Andrew Tye has been the standout bowler in the ongoing edition of the Big Bash League. The 34-year-old SCO pacer has picked five wickets in two matches at an economy of 7.57. He is tipped to add more wickets to his tally against the Hurricanes.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper
Amongst the all-rounders, one must pick Hobart Hurricanes’ D’Arcy Short in the fantasy team. The opening batter has scored 94 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 108.04. Short can also contribute with his left-arm spin. Having already amassed 122 fantasy points, the Australian all-rounder could be a valuable addition to any fantasy team.
For the wicket-keeper spot, Hobart Hurricanes captain Matthew Wade will be the overwhelming choice over Cameron Bancroft of Perth Scorchers. Along with his captaincy duties and wicket-keeping responsibilities, the left-hander has scored 113 runs in two matches at an impressive strike rate of 176.56. At 9.5 credits, picking Wade in the fantasy team is a no-brainer.
