The Global T20 Canada 2024 will start on July 25 and run till August 11 in Ontario, Canada. It will be the fourth edition of the tournament and will be livestreamed in India.
The first-ever major cricket league in North America, Global T20 Canada, is administered by Cricket Canada. After three successful editions of Global T20 Canada in 2018, 2019, and 2023, the tournament is back for its fourth season.
The action-packed competition will feature six teams - Bangla Tigers Mississauga, Toronto Nationals, Vancouver Knights, Brampton Wolves, Montreal Tigers, and Surrey Jaguars.
As per the Global T20 Canada 2024 schedule, Vancouver Knights will take on Toronto Nationals in the tournament opener on July 25.
A total of 21 league matches will be played in the tournament, with each team playing seven matches each.
The league fixtures will be followed by playoffs, where Qualifier 1 will be played between the top two sides in the league standings on August 9.
Later, the third and fourth-placed teams will take on each other in an Eliminator on August 10.
The Eliminator will be followed by Qualifier 2 on the same day (as per IST) and it will be played between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of Eliminator.
The winner of Qualifier 2 will then join the winner of Qualifier 1 in the Global T20 Canada Final on August 11. A total of 25 matches will be played over the course of this tournament.
Chris Lynn-led Montreal Tigers won the previous edition of the Global T20 Canada in 2023 after defeating Surrey Jaguars in the Final by five wickets.
All the Global T20 Canada 2024 matches will be played at CAA Centre, Brampton in Ontario.
