All fantasy platforms are expecting to have their biggest year in terms of users and revenue in 2020. One platform has claimed that they are expecting a 100% increase in the number of users for the 2020 Indian T20 League season in comparison to last year.
With Indian T20 League being the only mainstream cricketing action available to fans across the planet, the fantasy industry is expected to receive a huge boost in the number of users over the next two months from not only India but from across the globe.
The financial muscle of the fantasy gaming industry already came to the fore ahead of this year’s Indian T20 League season when Dream11 replaced Vivo to be the title sponsors of the league after the Chinese cellular giants announced their decision to cut ties with the cash-rich league.
The financial implications of the pandemic are uncertain but the fantasy gaming market is one of the few industries that is trending upwards during this period.
