Ahead of India’s World Cup opener against South Africa in Southampton on Wednesday, the ICC Twitter handle posted an illustration of Virat Kohli, depicting the batsman sitting on a throne followed by a crown on his head and a ball and a bat in his hands. And although some liked the depiction, many expressed their disappointment and accused ICC of being biased towards the Indian skipper.

Too conspicuous! Common guys, there's such a thing as subtlety. Don't make them hate us more than they already do.

Meanwhile, India had an easy route to their first glory at the World Cup, defeating South Africa by six wickets. The game was all about the bowling excellency of their pacer Jasprit Bumrah and the spinning wizard, Yuzvendra Chahal. As the pair picked six wickets between them, the Proteas were restricted to 227/9.
In return, a century from Rohit Sharma – his 23rd in the ODIs – guided India to chase the target with more than two overs still to play. As far as Kohli is concerned, he managed mere 18 off 34 deliveries before being dismissed by Andile Phehlukwayo.
