The Indian cricket team will face England at The Oval on Tuesday, July 12 in the 50-over format of the game. The match is scheduled to begin at 5.30 PM IST and will be a day-night game.
This game will be the first of the three One Day Internationals (ODI) to be played in the series. It is a follow-up after India clinched the T20I series 2-1 on Sunday.

The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, may just be coming off a defeat in their latest international outing, but that was the one loss in the 2-1 win they registered in the T20I series prior to the ODI fixtures.
In the T20I on Saturday, Suryakumar Yadav shone with a stellar 117 (55), and despite it going in vain, the knock speaks of the damage he is capable of inflicting on England in their own backyard.
India’s last ODI series against England was a home series in March 2021 which ended 2-1 in India’s favour. In the final game of the series, India batted first and put up a score of 329, helped by Rishabh Pant’s 78 (62) and Shikhar Dhawan’s 67 (56).
In response, the English batters scored 322/9 in 50 overs despite a firing of 95* (83) from Sam Curran down the order and a run-a-ball half-century from Dawid Malan.
India has won their last ODI series 3-0, but lost by the same margin to South Africa before that. England, on the other hand, are on a six match winning streak in this format of the game.
