England (ENG), having already booked a place in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 semi-finals, take on South Africa (SA) in their final Super 12 Group 1 encounter at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday, November 6.
ENG vs SA Dream11 prediction
England vs South Africa remains a do-or-die affair for the latter, who are third on the points table. Although the Proteas are level on points with second-placed Australia, an inferior net run rate has pushed them down in the standings.
The Proteas not only have to beat England to make the last four, but they also need to win with a significant margin considering Australia are favourites to beat West Indies in their final group stage match. If Australia lose, a win by any margin would take South Africa to the semi-finals.
While there are many permutations for the Proteas to qualify, the form England are in at the moment will make life difficult for South Africa on Saturday.
ENG vs SA Dream11 team tips for ICC T20 World Cup 2021
Top tip: Best batter
England opener Jason Roy has complemented Jos Buttler perfectly in the competition so far. The 31-year-old has made it to the Dream Team in all of his four appearances so far and will be a threat to the South African bowling attack.
Top tip: Best bowler
There are plenty of options to choose from, but Anrich Nortje of South Africa pips them all. The 27-year-old pacer has picked eight wickets in four matches and like Jason Roy, has made it to the Dream Team every time. The fact that he is averaging 71.5 fantasy points per game makes him a must-have player for this contest.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper
South Africa’s Dwaine Pretorius might have failed with the bat so far, but the 32-year-old has been compensating with fantastic bowling performances. Pretorious has picked seven wickets in four matches while being extremely economical. His selection by 64.17% of fantasy players comes as no surprise as he is averaging 54 points per game.
For the wicket-keeper spot, England’s Jos Buttler is an outright option. The 31-year-old keeper has been phenomenal in the competition so far, scoring 214 runs in just four matches. Buttler has surpassed the 100 fantasy points mark in each of his last two outings, making him an undroppable player for his match.
