Following the grand success of ECS Sweden, Landskrona, the European Cricket Series (ECS) 2022 now moves to the capital city of Sweden, Stockholm.
The ECS Sweden, Stockholm, 2022 is set to begin on Monday, May 16, with as many as 10 teams fighting for the title. The participants have been divided into two groups of five teams each and those are as follows:
Group A: Alby Zalmi, Botkyrka, Indiska, Linkoping and Stockholm Titans
Group B: Hammarby Cricket Forening, Marsta, Stockholm Mumbai Indians, Stockholm Tigers, Umea
Group A teams, Alby Zalmi and Botkyrka, will open the proceedings at Norsborg Cricket Ground in Stockholm. Each team is scheduled to play as many as eight games in the league stage, meaning that one team will face the other opponent from the same group twice.
All the matches, including the league stage games, knockouts and the final, will be played at Norsborg Cricket Ground in Stockholm. A total of 40 matches will be played during the league phase before the top four teams from each group advance to the quarter-finals.
League-stage games will run until May 26 while the four quarter-final rounds are scheduled on May 27. The two semi-finals and the final will be played on May 28.
