Australian opener David Warner has been blessed with a baby girl after his wife, Candice Warner gave birth to the couple’s third child on Monday evening.

Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old revealed the news by saying, "We welcomed our newest family member Isla Rose Warner at 10:30 pm late last night," Warner's wrote.

"@candywarner1 was absolutely amazing. Mum and Bub doing very well and her big sisters are over the moon."

The left-handed batsman now has three daughters - Isla Rose, Ivy-Mae and Indi-Rae.

Soon after Australia’s convincing 86-run victory over New Zealand at Lord’s on Saturday, the southpaw took no time to be back with his wife. Speaking about the batsman, pacer Mithcell Starc said after the New Zealand game,

"He packed his bag pretty quick.

"I think he's out there enjoying the win, and tomorrow he'll be a dad for the third time.

"Good luck to the Warners and I think when we see him in Manchester, he'll have his hands full again."

Candice actually travelled to London from Australia early in June as Warner himself wouldn’t have been able to travel during the tenure.

As for Australia, they have the leisure of enjoying a week-long break before they play their final league stage game against South Africa in Manchester. Thus, the 32-year-old is expected to be at home for a longer tenure.

And as far as his performance at the World Cup is concerned, he has been in excellent form since returning to international cricket, following his year-long ban due to the ball-tampering scandal in Newlands, South Africa last year.

With 516 runs in eight innings so far, the 32-year-old sits at the pinnacle of the leading run-scorers chart at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
