The Chhattisgarh Women’s T20 Cup will start on September 27 in the capital city of Raipur.
Organised by the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS), the tournament will showcase six competitive teams battling for glory.
A total of 16 games will be played in the tournament over 10 days from September 27 to October 6.
Unlike the first season, which saw teams like Goa Women CC, Odisha Women CC and Vidarbha Women CC making an appearance, the 2024 edition of the tournament introduces a fresh lineup of teams.
The participating teams are Andhra Women, Kerala Women, Chhattisgarh Red Women, Tamil Nadu Women, Chhattisgarh Blue Women, and Bengal Women.
The Chhattisgarh Women’s T20 Cup 2024 will follow a single round-robin format where each team plays the other side once. There will be a final between the top two teams in the standings after all the league games conclude.
Andhra Women and Kerala Women will face each other in the opening match on Friday, September 27 at 9:00 AM IST, while the final will be played on Sunday, October 6 at 1:00 PM.
In the last edition, Goa Women CC won the trophy after defeating Vidarbha Women by 8 wickets in the final.
Tarannum Pathan of Goa Women's CC was the tournament's leading scorer with 163 runs. Meanwhile, Sushree Dibyadarshini of Odisha Women CC dominated the wicket-taking charts with 10 scalps.
All matches in Chhattisgarh Women’s T20 Cup 2024 will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
