Indian batsman KL Rahul landed himself in heavy controversy following his appearance at Koffee with Karan alongside Hardik Pandya in December, but he believes that whatever has happened has only humbled him as a person.

The duo's grimy statements on women on that show weren't particularly taken well by the viewers; and they were duly punished by the BCCI for the same. The ban, however, was later lifted and Rahul has made sure he grabs the opportunity whenever given the change.
"It has humbled me a little bit and you know, respect the opportunity that I have gotten to play for the country. The dream of every kid is to play for the country and I am no different," said the Karnataka batsman.
"It has taught me just to value where I am, just to keep making opportunities count and put my head down and keep working on my cricket."
"I was a hard time no doubt. I mean, as a player, as a person, everyone has to go through difficult times and it was my time to go through that and I like I said it gave me time to reflect on my game, on myself. I have always been someone who takes things as it came."
Appearing for the first time since the controversy, Rahul scored a half-century as India lost to Australia in their first of two T20I. His second appearance (47 off 26) too made a significant impact, but for the second time running, it came On a losing cause. The 26-year-old will now look to convert those knocks into match-winning ones instead when the ODI series against Australia begins on the 2nd of March.
