Defending champions Bangladesh will lock horns with India in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, December 8.

Led by Md Azizul Hakim Tamin, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in their semi-final clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to storm into second consecutive ACC U19 Asia Cup final.
Opting to bowl first, Bangladesh rode on right-arm medium Iqbal Hossain Emon’s four-wicket haul to bowl out Pakistan for 116 in 37 overs.
In reply, captain Md Azizul Hakim Tamin led from the front with an unbeaten 42-ball 61 to guide Bangladesh to the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 final.
Earlier, Bangladesh started their ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 campaign with a 45-run victory over Afghanistan in their opening Group B match. They later beat Nepal by five wickets in their second group match to secure their place in the semi-finals.
However, Bangladesh succumbed to their only defeat of the tournament after they lost to Sri Lanka by seven runs in their final group match.
With four points from three matches, Bangladesh finished second in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 Group B standings, two points behind leaders Sri Lanka.
On the other hand, India thrashed Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the other semi-final at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium to book their place in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 final.
Electing to bat first, Sri Lanka lost wickets at regular intervals as they were bundled out for 173 in 46.2 overs.
Right-arm medium Chetan Sharma bagged three wickets while off-spinners Kiran Chormale and Ayush Mhatre bagged two wickets each.
For Sri Lanka, Lakvin Abeysinghe top-scored with 69 while wicketkeeper-batter Sharujan Shanmuganathan scored 42.
Later, swashbuckling opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi slammed 67 off 36 balls along with contributions from Ayush Mhatre (34) and captain Mohamed Amaan (25 not out) to help India chase down the target in just 21.4 overs.
Earlier, India bounced back from their defeat to arch-rivals Pakistan in their tournament opener to thrash Japan and United Arab Emirates to finish second in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 Group A standings and also qualify for the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh are the defending champions of the ACC U19 Asia Cup after they hammered United Arab Emirates by 195 runs in the 2023 final to bag their maiden title.
Bangladesh also reached the final of the 2019 edition, but lost to India by five runs at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
India are the most successful team in the ACC U19 Asia Cup history with eight titles. Interestingly, India never lost an ACC U19 Asia Cup final since its inception in 1989.
