The Australia women’s national cricket team will host South Africa Women in a three-match T20 international series starting on Saturday, January 27.
As per the Australia Women vs South Africa Women T20Is 2024 schedule, the first two games of the series will be played at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on consecutive days (January 27 and 28).
The third and final T20I will be held at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on January 30.
Ranked number one in the ICC Women’s T20I team rankings, Australia will look to continue their good form after beating hosts India 2-1 in a recently-concluded three-match T20I series.
Led by captain Alyssa Healy, the hosts have announced an unchanged T20I squad that won in India. Tahlia McGrath will be vice-captain of the side.
Star all-rounder Grace Harris has been included in the squad and will be replaced by Alana King for the ODIs.
On the other hand, the South Africa women’s national cricket team head into the series after defeating Bangladesh 2-1 in a three-match ODI series. The Proteas earlier levelled the T20I series 1-1.
Currently ranked fifth in the ICC Women’s T20I team rankings, the visitors will be led by Laura Wolvaardt.
South Africa has received a massive boost with the return of their accomplished all-rounder Chloe Tryon.
The likes of Marizanne Kapp, Nadine de Klerk, Sinalo Jafta and Suné Luus are some of the established names added to their formidable 15-member squad.
