The Australia vs Pakistan T20 2024 cricket series will start in Brisbane on Thursday, November 14.
As per the Australia vs Pakistan T20 2024 schedule, the first game of the three-match series will be played at The Gabba.
Australia and Pakistan will later travel to Sydney to play the second T20I scheduled to be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on November 16.
The third and final T20I of the series will be played at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on November 18.
Australia are placed second in the ICC men’s T20I team rankings while Pakistan are seventh on the list.
Under newly-appointed white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan, the Pakistan national cricket team will head into the T20I series high on confidence after clinching the recently-concluded ODI series 2-1 in Australia after 22 years.
Meanwhile, all-rounder Salman Ali Agha will be the vice-captain in the T20I series. In the absence of Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha will later lead Pakistan in the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe.
Left-arm wrist-spinner Sufiyan Muqeem has been included in the T20I squad while all-rounder Shadab Khan has been dropped from the squad.
Haseebullah Khan has been added as the back-up wicketkeeper-batter in Pakistan’s T20I squad. Uncapped left-arm pacer Jahandad Khan has also been included in the T20I squad.
On the other hand, the Australia cricket team will be led by interim T20I captain Josh Inglis.
In the absence of Mitchell Marsh and Pat Cummins, wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis has been appointed Australia’s T20I captain for the upcoming T20I series.
Spencer Johnson, Nathan Ellis and Xavier Bartlett have returned to the T20I squad after recovering from their respective injuries.
Test regulars including captain Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Josh Hazlewood were not considered with an eye on the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Test series starting on November 22.

The last time these two sides met, Australia beat Pakistan by three wickets in the solitary T20I of a series in Lahore in April 2022.
