The Australia cricket team and New Zealand will cross swords in the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, November 14.
Australia, led by Aaron Finch, booked their place in the T20 World Cup 2021 final after inflicting a five-wicket win over Pakistan.
The Aussies’ road to the T20 World Cup final was certainly not smooth, as they qualified for the semi-finals with England based on net run rate after finishing level on points with South Africa and the English.
The New Zealand cricket team, meanwhile, were the first team to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2021 final. The Kane Williamson-led Black Caps finished second in Group 2 of the Super 12s with eight points. Their eight-wicket win over Afghanistan in the Super 12s led to the Indian cricket team’s elimination from the tournament.
The Kiwis have qualified for their third straight ICC final, after the 2019 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup and the inaugural ICC World Test Championship final. While they finished as runners-up to England in the ODI World Cup final, New Zealand humbled India by eight wickets in the Test Championship final.
