Semi-final hopefuls Australia (AUS) face West Indies (WI) in their fifth match of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium for their last Super 12 Group 1 encounter on Saturday, November 6.
AUS vs WI Dream11 prediction
Australia and West Indies have been on the opposite end of the spectrum in the T20 World Cup 2021. The Aaron Finch-led side has one foot in the semi-finals, but need to win their last group stage match to book a semis berth. For West Indies, it’s mission impossible as they are fifth on the points table with only one win in four matches and out of contention for the semis.
Given it’s all to play for Australia, Finch’s side are likely to emerge victorious on Saturday.
AUS vs WI Dream11 team tips for ICC T20 World Cup 2021
Top tip: Best batter
Australia captain Aaron Finch is in some form in the competition. The 34-year-old opener has scored 121 runs in his last three matches and has accumulated 194 fantasy points during that time. Given the consistency the Aussie captain has shown, he should be an obvious pick for your fantasy team.
Top tip: Best bowler
Fantasy players benefited greatly from Adam Zampa’s inclusion in Australia’s previous match against Bangladesh. The 29-year-old leggie took five wickets as he ended with 159 fantasy points from the match. Considering how circumspect West Indies have looked against spin at times, Zampa can once again prove to be a handy option.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper
Australia vs West Indies will feature two premium all-rounders in Glenn Maxwell and Andre Russell, but the Australian has provided better returns so far. Maxwell has made it to the Dream Team twice in the ongoing competition and his overall fantasy return (135) is better than Russell’s (113).
For a wicket-keeper, WI’s Nicholas Pooran should be picked ahead of Matthew Wade. Pooran, who has made crucial contributions with the bat, is averaging 37.5 fantasy points per game compared to Wade’s average of 29.2 points per match.
AUS vs WI probable playing XI
AUS playing XI (probable): David Warner, Aaron Finch (captain), Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade (wicket-keeper), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood
WI playing XI (probable): Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Nicholas Pooran (wicket-keeper), Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard (captain), Jason Holder, Dwayne Bravo, Akeal Hosein, Ravi Rampaul
