Cricket grounds are no more home to only players as an unexpected visitor decided to pay a visit at the Gokaraju Liala Gangaaraju ACA Stadium in Vijayawada on Monday during the opening day of the Ranji Trophy 2019-2020 season in a game between Vidharbha and Andhra.
In one of the most unorthodox and bizarre interventions anyone has ever seen, a snake found its way to the ground before anyone took notice of the same. We have seen, birds, cats, dogs, even bees stopping play in the past but when a snake appeared on the ground, it seemed to have baffled the players and the ground staff alike.

The official Twitter handle of BCCI domestic took no time in posting the puzzled reactions of the players and the ground staff who were seen making all the efforts to scare the snake away.
And well, this is not the first time an incident as this has happened. A similar occurrence took place back in 2015 in an encounter between Bengal and Vidharbha at the Jadavpur University in Saltlake when a four feet long snake made its way to the field and took Vidharbha’s pacer Swapnil Bandiwar by surprise.

It’s not every day we witness such unconventional intervention coming into the light, but it seems like it always seems to be happening with the Vidharbha team. Faiz Fazal, the skipper of the Vidharbha team is charged up and will be aiming for lifting their third Ranji Trophy title in a row.
