The Andhra Premier League 2024 will start in Visakhapatnam on June 30.
Organised by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), as many as six teams will compete in a total of 19 matches across two weeks in the third edition of the Andhra Premier League.
Defending champions Rayalaseema Kings will face APL 2022 winners Coastal Riders in the opening match of the Andhra Premier League 2024 on Sunday, in what will be a rematch of last year’s finals.
Vizag Warriors, Bezawada Tigers, Uttarandhra Lions and Godavari Titans are the other teams in the fray.
Each team will play the other five teams in a single round-robin format before the top four teams proceed to the knockouts stage starting July 11. The knockouts will start with Qualifier 1, the winner of whom will directly proceed to the final.
The loser in Qualifier 1 will meet the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2. The winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 will meet in the APL 2024 final which is slated for July 13.
All matches of APL 2024 will be played at the Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
Rayalaseema Kings won the previous edition of the tournament as they beat Coastal Riders by five wickets in the APL 2023 final.
India wicketkeeper-batter K S Bharat, Ricky Bhui, the top run-getter in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season, batter Shaik Rasheed are some of the star attractions in the tournament.

The APL 2024 matches will be telecast live on Star Sports First and Star Sports 1 Telugu TV channels in India.
