The Andhra Premier League 2024 started off on June 30 in Visakhapatnam and will run till July 13.

The Andhra Premier League is a franchise-based T20 tournament, which is being organised by the Andhra Cricket Association. APL 2024 will have six teams playing a total of 19 matches over two weeks with the final scheduled on July 13.

Defending champions Rayalaseema Kings beat former winners Coastal Riders by seven wickets in the opening match of the APL 2024 at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.

Vizag Warriors, Bezawada Tigers, Uttarandhra Lions and Godavari Titans are the other teams in the tournament. All the matches of APL 2024 will be played at the same venue in Visakhapatnam.

All six teams will play each other once before the top four qualify for the knockouts. The top two teams will play in Qualifier 1 with the winner directly proceeding to the final of APL 2024. 

The teams placed third and fourth will clash against each other in the Eliminator and the winning side will proceed to Qualifier 2 to meet the losing side of Qualifier 1.

The winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 will face off against each other in the final of APL 2024.

Rayalaseema Kings won the previous edition of the Andhra Premier League defeating Coastal Riders in the finals by five wickets.

Andhra Premier League 2024 points table format 

Each team will get two points for a win. Any match that ends in a tie, will be decided by a Super Over. The Net Run Rate (NRR) will decide the fate of the teams that are tied on the same points, placing them higher.
