The African Premier League 2021 is a brand new T20 tournament that started on March 25 and will go on till April 10. The 17-day cricket league will feature six teams playing 33 T20 matches.
The six teams taking part are Mombasa Rhinos, Eldoret Elephants, Nairobi Lions, Kisumu Pythons, Nakuru Leopards and Thika Hippos. All the African Premier League matches are expected to be held at the Ruaraka Sports Club in Nairobi, with no spectators allowed for the games.
Organised by the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) - an affiliate of Cricket Kenya - the tournament is held with the sole purpose of providing a platform for the emerging talents in Kenyan cricket. Watch African Premier League live in India.
The tournament will also serve as a good practice for the upcoming World T20 qualifier and the World Cup Challenge League.
The league stages will run till April 5 and the semi-finals of the African Premier League will be held on April 9. The final will be on April 10.
