The inaugural edition of the Africa Cricket Association T20I Cup is all set to be held from September 15 to September 22 in Benoni, South Africa.
Organised by Africa Cricket Association and Cricket South Africa, the Africa Cricket Association T20I Cup 2022 will feature eight African teams, playing a total of 15 matches over eight days.
Botswana, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria and Uganda are the eight teams that will participate in the first edition of the Africa Cricket Association T20I Cup. These eight sides have been divided into two groups of four teams each.
While Group A features Botswana, Uganda, Ghana and Mozambique, Group B includes Cameroon, Kenya, Malawi and Nigeria.
Each team will play the other side in their group in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The Africa Cricket Association T20I Cup 2022 final will be played on September 22.
All matches of Africa Cricket Association T20I Cup will be played at Willowmoore Park Cricket Stadium and the adjacent grounds in Gauteng, Benoni.
