Australia have been steamrolling Sri Lanka over in the T20I series in Australia and in what have been one-sided encounters, the batting from both sides have been at two extremes. However, the few moments Sri Lanka did have, Danushka Gunathilaka stood out with an outrageous stroke in the second T20I of the series at The Gabba. Glenn Maxwell had played an equally outstanding shot earlier in the series at the Adelaide Oval.
The Australian middle-order batsman was promoted to No.3 in the batting line-up for the first game after they got off to a good start courtesy David Warner and Aaron Finch. Maxwell's introduction gave the Australian innings more impetus but what stood out in the Maxwell knock was an incredible shot played off Nuwan Pradeep in the 16th over.

The Sri Lankan seamer bowled a full ball outside off-stump and the Australian batsman reverse scooped by bending low to convert it into a full toss. The ball went for a boundary as Sri Lankan players looked on in disbelief.
In the second T20I, Sri Lanka's opener Danushka Gunathilaka went on to put forward a challenge to the Australian by playing an equally sensational shot off an Australian pacer. In the fourth over of the Sri Lankan innings, Billy Stanlake bowled a full ball on the stumps at 146.3 kmph. Gunathilaka swiftly moved across the stumps and scooped the ball over his head and into the stands for a six.
