The Indian cricket team will begin its white-ball tour of the West Indies with a three-match ODI series starting Friday, July 22.

India are coming off a 2-1 series win in England, including an emphatic 10-wicket win over the Three Lions in the first ODI at The Oval.

The West Indies cricket team, on the other hand, is on a six-game losing streak in ODIs as it was handed back-to-back whitewashes by Bangladesh and Pakistan in its recent assignments.

Once a titan in ODI cricket, the Windies have struggled for consistency in the 50-over game and will aim for a possible turnaround against a formidable opponent in India.

The upcoming three-game series will convene for the 23rd bilateral ODI series between the West Indies and India, and India’s first trip to the Caribbean Islands since 2019.

Here are some interesting stats, head-to-head and talking points ahead of the upcoming West Indies vs India ODI series.
