The T20 Blast is the first professional T20 league in the world, with its maiden edition held in 2003.
The competition sees 18 First-Class county teams compete in 133 T20 matches, including the knockouts. Whenever the T20 Blast operates with a two-division format, the teams are divided into northern and southern divisions.
In the event of a three-division format, the new division is called the central division. Currently, each division - northern, central and southern - has six counties each.
Kent are the defending champions of the T20 Blast, as they defeated Somerset by 25 runs in the 2021 final.
Since 2003, there have been 13 different winners of the T20 Blast with Leicestershire emerging as the most successful side (three titles).
Four teams, including current holders Kent, have won the tournament twice. The others are Hampshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
