Sir Vivian Richards Stadium is a cricket stadium located in North Sound, Saint George, Antigua and Barbuda.
Established in 2007, the stadium is named after West Indies cricket legend Vivian Richards.
The state-of-the-art venue includes two main stands - the Northern Stand and the five-story South Stand. It also has a practice pitch for various cricket teams, training infrastructure and a media centre.
With a seating capacity of 10,000, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium staged its first international cricket match, a One-Day (ODI) International played between West Indies and Australia in 2007. Led by Ricky Ponting, Australia won the game by 103 runs.
A year later, the stadium hosted its first Test match that featured West Indies and Australia.
Later in 2010, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium staged its first T20 international played between West Indies and South Africa. Since then, it has hosted more than 10 T20 internationals so far.

Highest total
The South African cricket team holds the record for the highest total at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in T20 international cricket. During the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, the Aiden Markram-led South Africa posted 194/4 in their 20 overs against the USA. Put into bat, South Africa rode on Quinton de Kock’s 74-run knock along with contributions from the skipper (46) and Heinrich Klaasen (36 not out) to post a record T20 total at the venue. In reply, the USA put up a tough fight as they posted 176/6 in 20 overs. Canada won the game by 18 runs in North Sound, Antigua and Barbuda.
Lowest total
The Oman cricket team registered the lowest total at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in the T20 format. Put into bat, Oman were bundled out for 47 in 13.2 overs against England during a T20 World Cup 2024 group encounter in North Sound, Antigua and Barbuda. Shoaib Khan top-scored for Oman with 11 off 23 balls. For England, Adil Rashid bagged four wickets while Jofra Archer and Mark Wood claimed three scalps each. England later chased down the required target in just 3.1 overs to register a comprehensive eight-wicket win.

Bahamas’ Marc Taylor has scored the most runs at the venue in T20 cricket. Opening the batting, the swashbuckling right-handed batter amassed 171 runs in three matches at an average of 57 and a strike rate of 139.02 in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Region Qualifier 2021. Argentina’s Alejandro Ferguson features second on the list with 126 runs in five matches.
Most wickets
Argentina’s Hernan Fennell has bagged the most wickets at this cricket ground in the T20 format. The right-arm pacer picked up 11 wickets in five T20 international matches at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium at an average of 9.54 and an economy of 6.77. Canada’s Dilon Heyliger is second on the list with seven wickets in two T20I matches at this venue.
Highest individual score
Argentina cricketer Alejandro Ferguson holds the record for the highest individual score at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in T20 cricket. Batting at No.3, Alejandro Ferguson slammed an unbeaten 86 off 60 balls against Belize in an ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Region Qualifier clash in 2021. His scintillating knock was laced with 12 fours and one maximum to power Argentina to 171/4 in their 20 overs. Later, Argentina bowled out Belize for 112 in 18.5 overs to win the game by 59 runs.
Best bowling figures
Argentina fast bowler Hernan Fennell has the best bowling figures at this venue in the T20 format. The right-arm pacer registered match-winning figures of 6/18 against Panama during an ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Region Qualifier clash in 2021. Defending 156, Hernan Fennell dismissed Salim Guzman, Yusuf Bhoola, Mahmud Jasat, Irfan Hafejee, Anilkumar Natubhai Ahir and Dineshbhai Ahir to restrict Panama to 111/9 in their 20 overs.
Highest partnership
South Africa’s Quinton de Kock and b hold the record for the highest partnership at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in T20 cricket. During an ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 encounter, de Kock and Markram stitched an unbeaten 110-run partnership for the second wicket against the USA. Quinton de Kock scored 74 off 40 balls while Markram amassed 46 runs to power South Africa to 194/4 in their 20 overs. Later, the USA could manage 176/6 in their 20 overs, leading to an 18-run victory for South Africa.
