The Sawai Mansingh Stadium is a world-class cricket venue located in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Established in 1969, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium is named after Sawai Man Singh II, the former Maharaja of the state of Jaipur.
Owned by the Government of Rajasthan and operated by Rajasthan Cricket Association, the Jaipur cricket stadium has a current seating capacity of 30,000.
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium is the home ground of Team Rajasthan in the Indian T20 League and the Rajasthan cricket team in domestic cricket.
The stadium staged its first international cricket match, a one-day international played between arch-rivals India and Pakistan in October 1983. Led by Kapil Dev, the hosts won the game by four wickets.
Since then, it has hosted one Test, 19 ODIs and one T20I.
Apart from international matches, it has also staged several Indian T20 League matches and other T20 matches in domestic as well as at club levels.

Highest total
Otago holds the record for the highest team total at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in T20 cricket. During a Champions League T20 match in September 2013, the Brendon McCullum-led Otago posted 242/4 in their 20 overs against Perth Scorchers. Put into bat, Otago rode on Neil Broom’s unbeaten 117 off 56 balls, Ryan ten Doeschate’s 26-ball 66 and wicketkeeper-batter Derek de Boorder’s 45 off 28 balls to post a record T20 total at the venue. In reply, Perth Scorchers managed 180/6 in their allotted overs as Otago won the game by 62 runs.
Lowest total
The Manipur cricket team registered the lowest team total at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in the T20 format. Electing to bat first, Manipur were bundled out for 40 in just 14.1 overs by Punjab during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match in 2022. Rex Rajkumar top-scored for Manipur with 25. For Punjab, leg-spinner Mayank Markande was the wrecker-in-chief as he picked up four wickets for just four runs in his 3.1 overs. Punjab later chased down the target in 5.3 overs as they secured a comprehensive nine-wicket win in Jaipur.
Most runs
Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane has scored the most runs at the venue in T20 cricket. Between 2011 and 2023, the stylish right-handed batter amassed 1,475 runs in 46 matches at an average of 42.14 and a strike rate of 121.49. He slammed one century and 11 fifties at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in cricket’s shortest format. Rahane has represented the likes of Team Chennai, Team Mumbai and Team Rajasthan in the Indian T20 League.
Most wickets
India’s Siddharth Trivedi has bagged the most wickets at this cricket ground in the T20 format. Representing Team Rajasthan in the Indian T20 League, the right-arm pacer scalped 36 wickets in 32 matches at an average of 22.69 and an economy of 7.31. His best T20 bowling figures at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium is 3/19. Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson is second on the list with 24 wickets in 35 matches.
Highest individual score
Former New Zealand cricketer Neil Broom holds the record for the highest individual score at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in T20 cricket. Representing Otago, Neil Broom slammed 117 not out off 56 balls while opening the batting against Perth Scorchers in a Champions League T20 match in 2013. Broom’s century powered Otago to a mammoth 242/4 in their 20 overs. Otago later restricted Perth Scorchers to 180/6 in their 20 overs to register a 62-run victory.
Best bowling figures
Hyderabad’s Ravi Teja has the best bowling figures at this venue in the T20 format. The right-arm medium-pacer registered magnificent figures of 6/13 against Chhattisgarh during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game in 2023. Ravi Teja dismissed Shashank Chandrakar, captain Amandeep Khare, Harpreet Singh, Shashank Singh, Sanjeet Desai and Sourabh Majumdar to bowl out Chhattisgarh for 97 in 19.1 overs. Hyderabad later successfully chased down the required target in 16 overs as they won the match by six wickets. Apart from Ravi Teja, former Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanvir scalped a six-wicket haul (6/14) for Team Rajasthan against Team Chennai in the Indian T20 League 2008.
Highest partnership
Delhi’s Yash Dhull and captain Nitish Rana hold the record for the highest partnership at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in T20 cricket. During a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match in 2022, Yash Dhull and Nitish Rana forged an incredible 173-run partnership for the third wicket against Punjab. While Dhull scored 66 not out, Rana smashed 61-ball 107 to power Delhi to 191/4. Delhi later restricted Punjab to 179/5 in their 20 overs to win the match by 12 runs.
Highest successful chase
Team Hyderabad hold the record for the highest successful chase at this venue against Team Rajasthan during the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League. Chasing a target of 215, Abhishek Sharma (55), Rahul Tripathi (47), Anmolpreet Singh (33), Heinrich Klaasen (26) and Glenn Phillips (25) helped Hyderabad chase down the target in 20 overs with four wickets in hand.
