Pakistan vs South Africa, 2nd Test: Here are the Adda Notes

After a convincing seven-wicket win in the first Test, Pakistan will lock horns with South Africa in the second and final Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, starting on February 4.

The Pakistan cricket team recorded just their fifth Test victory against the Proteas in Karachi. 

In terms of the Pakistan vs South Africa head-to-head record in the longest format, the stats favor the Quinton de Kock-led side, having won 15 of the 27 Test matches between the two nations. On the other hand, seven encounters have ended in a stalemate. 

However, Pakistan have won three out of their last five Tests at home, while South Africa have failed to record a single win in their previous five away Test matches.

Meanwhile, the pitch at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has assisted the fast bowlers at the venue. The teams batting second have won six out of the 10 Tests played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium while only once has a team won batting first here. The average first innings total in Tests at this venue is 243.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam is tipped to score a fifty in the upcoming Test match in Rawalpindi. The 26-year-old has amassed 507 runs in the last five Tests at home, with a staggering average of 84.5. He has smashed three centuries and two fifties.

For the visitors, Dean Elgar has been the most prolific opening batsman in world cricket since 2016, with more runs and more hundreds than anyone else. The southpaw had struck his 16th Test half-century in the first Test in Karachi. The 33-year-old has been the most dependable Proteas batsman in away Tests, accumulating 356 runs in ten innings at an average of 39.55.

South Africa batsmen's record in last five away matches

The hosts will start as overwhelming favorites in the second Test match against South Africa starting on Thursday.
