New York cricket stadium’s highest score: Know the top team totals at the venue

The New York cricket stadium has witnessed several low scoring encounters in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 in the United States.

Popularly known as the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, the New York cricket stadium is a new modular, temporary venue that is constructed on the grounds of Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York.

With a seating capacity of 34,000, the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium will stage eight T20 World Cup 2024 matches.

Having already hosted seven of the eight games, the pitches at the New York cricket stadium have been heavily criticised for being substandard and at times extremely dangerous.

The primary focus has been on the drop-in pitches used as no team has crossed 140 in the seven games played at the venue in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Canada | 137/7 vs Ireland | 2024

The New York cricket stadium's highest score was registered by the Canada cricket team. Canada scored 137/7 in their 20 overs against Ireland in a T20 World Cup 2024 group match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Put in to bat, Canada rode on Nicholas Kirton’s 49 off 35 balls and Shreyas Movv’s 36-ball 37 to post the highest score at this venue. In reply, Ireland fought hard but fell short by 12 runs.

Ireland | 125/7 vs Canada | 2024

The Ireland cricket team features second on the list of New York cricket stadium's highest score. During a T20 World Cup 2024 group match, Ireland managed 125/7 in their 20 overs while chasing Canada’s 137/7. Mark Adair (34) and George Dockrell (30) were the top-scorers for Ireland. Defending 137, Jeremy Gordon and Dilon Heyliger picked up two wickets each to guide Canada to a 12-run victory at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.

India | 119 vs Pakistan | 2024

The Indian cricket team is third on the list of New York cricket stadium's highest score. The Rohit Sharma-led India were bowled out for 119 in 19 overs against arch-rivals Pakistan in a high-profile T20 World Cup 2024 group match. Rishabh Pant top-scored for the Men in Blue with 42 off 31 balls. For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf bagged three wickets each while Mohammad Amir took two important scalps. However, India later restricted Pakistan to 113/7 in their allotted overs to secure a six-run win in New York.
