Former Australia spinner and cricket Shane Warne currently holds the record for picking the most wickets in Ashes history.
The leg-break bowler, who made his Ashes debut in 1993 in Manchester, claimed 195 wickets in 36 Ashes Tests at an average of 23.25 with best bowling figures of 8/71 in an Ashes innings.
Interestingly, Warne's first ball in an Ashes series in 1993 was hailed as the "ball of the century" as he bamboozled England's Mike Gatting with a sensational delivery.
It's 25 years today since THAT ball!

Having featured in several Ashes series till 2007, Warne also holds the record for the most 10-wicket hauls (4).
Considered one of the greatest bowlers in cricket history, Warne broke Hugh Trumble's record for most wickets in Ashes in 2005. Between 1980 and 1904, Trumble had picked 141 wickets in 31 Tests and was the highest wicket-taker in the Ashes for more than 100 years.
Former Australia fast bowler Glenn McGrath leapfrogged Trumble to the second spot after taking six scalps in the first innings of the 2006 Brisbane Test. The second-most successful pacer of all time, McGrath ended his career with 157 wickets in 30 Ashes Tests, a record for any pacer.
England's Stuart Broad is the Englishman who has taken the most wickets in Ashes having accounted for 137 wickets in 26 Tests.
Legendary Australia speedster Dennis Lillee and former England cricketer Sir Ian Botham complete the top six list of most wickets in Ashes.
Lillee bagged 128 wickets in 24 Ashes Tests at an average of 22.32 with seven five-wicket hauls and two 10-wicket hauls.
Meanwhile, Botham has registered the most wickets in Ashes history by an England cricket team bowler. Having featured in the Ashes between 1977 and 1989, Botham picked 128 wickets in 32 Tests at an average of 28.04 with best figures of 6/95.
