Since his One-Day International (ODI) debut against arch-rivals Pakistan in December 1989, Sachin Tendulkar later dominated the ODI format like no other cricketer. He scored 18,426 runs in 422 innings, including slamming 49 centuries and 96 fifties in the 50-over format. Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, who is second on the all-time highest run-scorer in ODI cricket, finished his career with 14,234 ODI runs in 404 matches.

Arguably the greatest white-ball cricketer in the modern era, Virat Kohli currently has the second-most runs for India in ODI cricket. Having made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in Dambulla in August 2008, Virat Kohli has amassed 13,906 runs in 283 innings. The flamboyant right-handed batter holds the record for the most centuries in ODI cricket. He has smashed 50 centuries in ODI cricket, one more than his idol Sachin Tendulkar. Apart from 50 hundreds, Virat Kohli has also registered 72 half-centuries in his illustrious career so far.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest left-handed-batters in ODI cricket, the former Indian cricket team captain recorded 22 centuries and 71 fifties to his name in the 50-over format.
