The Manuka Oval is a multi-sport stadium situated in Canberra, which is the capital city of Australia.

While the venue is primarily used for cricket during the Australian summer, it stages Australian rules football during winters.

As far as the Australian domestic circuit is concerned, the Manuka Oval is home to ACT Comets (men’s) and ACT Meteors (women’s) teams.

The picturesque ground is best known as the host of the annual match between the Prime Minister's XI and an overseas touring side.

The Manuka Oval is set to host a few matches of the upcoming Big Bash League 2022-23 season. Here are the T20 records at the stadium:

Manuka Oval T20 records

Highest total: The highest total in a T20 match at the Manuka Oval is 219/7 made by Sydney Thunder in the group phase match of the BBL 2020-21. 

Put in to bat first, opener Alex Hales and skipper Callum Ferguson scored half-centuries to propel their team to a mammoth total. In reply, Melbourne Stars could only score 144 in 19.5 overs, facing a 75-run defeat in the process.

Lowest total: The lowest total recorded in a T20 match at the Manuka Oval is 80/10 made by Melbourne Renegades against Sydney Thunder in BBL 2020-21. 

An all-round batting show by the Sydney Thunder helped them put up 209/8 on the board in their quota of 20 overs.

Thereafter, spinner Tanveer Sangha’s four wicket-haul derailed Melbourne's run chase as they were bundled out for just 80 runs

Highest individual score: Sydney Sixers’ batter James Vince holds the record for the highest individual score in a T20 at this stadium. 

Chasing 168, he smashed a 53-ball 98* against Perth Scorchers in the qualifier of the BBL 2020-21. The knock, played at a brilliant strike rate of 184.90, featured 14 fours and a maximum.

Best bowling: Melbourne Stars pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile holds the record for best bowling figures in a T20 match at the Manuka Oval. 

In the second match of the BBL 2020-21, Brisbane Heat could only muster 125 after being asked to bat first, courtesy of a fiery spell by Nathan Coulter-Nile, who bagged 4/10. 

Melbourne Stars comfortably chased the target down with 17 balls to spare to begin their campaign on a winning note.

Highest partnership: Cameron Bancroft and Liam Livingstone hold the record for the highest partnership of 114 runs in T20s at the Manuka Oval. 

In the Challenger of the BBL 2020-21, the Perth Scorchers opening duo stitched a 114-run stand to power their team to 189/1, registering their respective fifties in the process.

The second innings saw a resilient bowling performance that guided Perth to a 49-run win over Brisbane Heat.
