The Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium is a new cricket ground located in Mohali, Punjab.
Located in the village of Mullanpur on the outskirts of Chandigarh, the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium was established in 2021.
The Mullanpur cricket stadium is named after Yadavindra Singh, who was the son of Maharaja of Patiala - Bhupendrasingh Rajendrasingh. Yadavindra Singh played a solitary Test for India in 1934.
Owned by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), the new stadium has a seating capacity of 38,000. It has already received clearances from BCCI and ICC to host international cricket matches.
Also known as the new PCA stadium, the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium will host five of Punjab’s seven home matches in the Indian T20 League 2024.
Earlier, the new Mullanpur cricket stadium hosted 23 T20 domestic matches in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2022 and 2023. It also staged five Vijay Hazare Trophy in the 2021-22 season and one Ranji Trophy match in January 2024.
Of the 26 matches played at this venue so far, teams batting first have won 16 times while sides batting second have emerged triumphant on 10 occasions.

Highest total
The Jammu and Kashmir cricket team holds the record for the highest total at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in T20 cricket. During a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy group match in 2022, the Shubham Pundir-led Jammu and Kashmir posted 238/2 in their 20 overs against Arunachal Pradesh. Put into bat, Jammu and Kashmir rode on fifties from Shubham Khajuria (85) and Shubham Pundir (54 not out) along with contributions from Jatin Wadhwan (49) and Abdul Samad (46 not out) to post a record T20 total at the venue. In reply, Arunachal Pradesh were bowled out for 65 in 15.4 overs as Jammu and Kashmir won the game by massive 173 runs.
Lowest total
The Meghalaya cricket team registered the lowest total at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in the T20 format. Chasing 137, Meghalaya were bundled out for 53 in 14.3 overs by Haryana during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy group match in 2022. Chirag Khurana top-scored for Meghalaya with a run-a-ball 21. For Haryana, Nishant Sindhu, Amit Mishra and Rahul Tewatia bagged three wickets each. Earlier, Haryana posted 136/7 in their 20 overs.
Most runs
India international Ruturaj Gaikwad has scored the most runs at the venue in T20 cricket. Representing Maharashtra, the swashbuckling right-handed batter amassed 147 runs in five matches at an average of 36.75 and a strike rate of 147 in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022. Bengal’s Abishek Porel features second on the list with 123 runs in three matches.
Most wickets
Pulkit Narang, Satyajeet Bachhav and Vijaykumar Vyshak share the record for the most wickets at this cricket ground in the T20 format. Playing for Services, Pulkit Narang bagged eight wickets in four T20 matches at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium. On the other hand, Maharashtra’s left-arm spinner Satyajeet Bachhav also claimed eight scalps in four T20 games at this venue. Meanwhile, Karnataka pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak also featured in the list with eight wickets in just three T20 matches.
Highest individual score
Maharashtra captain Ruturaj Gaikwad holds the record for the highest individual score at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in T20 cricket. Opening the batting, Ruturaj Gaikwad slammed 114 off just 68 against Kerala in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy clash in 2022. His scintillating knock was laced with eight fours and seven maximums to power Maharashtra to 167/4 in their 20 overs. Later, Maharashtra restricted Kerala to 127/8 in their allotted overs to win the game by 40 runs.
Best bowling figures
Karnataka fast bowler Vidwath Kaverappa has the best bowling figures at this venue in the T20 format. The right-arm pacer registered match-winning figures of 5/11 against Jammu and Kashmir during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy group match in 2022. Vidwath Kaverappa dismissed Shubham Khajuria, Jatin Wadhwan, Parvez Rasool, Abdul Samad and Umran Malik to bowl out Jammu and Kashmir for 113 in 18.2 overs. Earlier, Karnataka scored 147/7 in their allotted overs. Karnataka won the match by 34 runs.
Highest partnership
Uttarakhand’s Yuvraj Chaudhary and Avneesh Sudha hold the record for the highest partnership at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in T20 cricket. During a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy group match in 2023, Yuvraj Chaudhary and Avneesh Sudha forged a brilliant 140-run partnership for the opening wicket against Maharashtra. Both Yuvraj and Avneesh scored 78 each to power Uttarakhand to 171/2 in their 16.4 overs before rain played spoilsport. Uttarakhand later won the match by 23 runs (VJD method).
