After going back-and-forth in an endless slugfest for 44 overs, Punjab beat Mumbai in the Indian T20 League's first-ever double Super Over game.

Here are the key talking points from the contest:
Boom goes Jasprit
After an out of sorts start to his season, Mumbai's Jasprit Bumrah is back to his brilliant best, picking up three wickets for just 23 runs in his quota of fours and then conceding just five in his Super Over and adding a couple of more scalps to his name. The speedster's spell was the reason Mumbai were alive right until the end before the match finished in a tie.
KL Rahul's love affair with Mumbai
Punjab skipper KL Rahul continues his enthralling season, scoring an incredible 77 off 51 balls, before being dismissed by an inch-perfect yorker by Bumrah. The Karnataka-native has now scored 500 runs in three successive seasons and is on course to win the Orange Cap. Rahul has now scored 580 runs against Mumbai, which included a ton and four half-centuries, both career-highs against a team in the Indian T20 League. There’s nothing Rahul loves more than playing against Mumbai.
Shami's sensational Super Over
After putting up just five runs on the board in the Super Over, the body language of the Punjab players looked a bit dejected when then came on to the field, however, ace speedster Mohammad Shami matched compatriot Bumrah, bowling six brilliant deliveries, giving away just five runs and forcing another Super Over, where Punjab emerged victorious.
A day of firsts
Today marked the first time in Indian T20 League history where two matches finished in a tie on the same day. It was also the first time in league history where a game went to two Super Overs, a perfect way to round off a quite memorable day of cricket.
