As many as only five players have registered hundreds for India in Women’s World Cup

Thirush Kamini, Harmanpreet Kaur, Mithali Raj, Smriti Mandhana and Punam Raut have scored hundreds for India in Women’s World Cup.

A total of nine hundreds have been recorded by Indian batters in the high-profile ICC tournament. 

Who scored first hundred for India in Women’s World Cup?

Former cricketer Thirush Kamini scored the first hundred for India in Women’s World Cup. 

In the first match of ICC Women’s World Cup at Brabourne Stadium in 2013, opening batter Kamini smashed 100 off 146 balls against West indies women to power the hosts to 284/6 in their 50 overs. 

In reply, West Indies women were bowled out for 179 as India secured a massive 105-run victory.

 

Who has scored most hundreds for India in Women’s World Cup?

Harmanpreet Kaur has scored most hundreds for India in Women’s World Cup. The middle-order batter has smashed three hundreds in the tournament. 

She scored an unbeaten 107 against England at Brabourne Stadium in 2013. However, India lost the match by 32 runs.

Later in 2017, Kaur hit 171 not out off just 115 balls against mighty Australia in the Women’s World Cup semi-final at the County Cricket Ground in Derby. India women defeated Australia women by 32 runs to storm into the final.

She later brought up her third hundred against West Indies women in the 2022 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand. Kaur scored 109 off 107 balls to power India to 317/8. India women bowled out West Indies women for 162 as they secured a massive 155-run victory.

Meanwhile, Mithali Raj and Smirti Mandhana have scored two hundreds for India in Women's World Cup.
