Brendon McCullum’s 158 not out in Indian T20 League 2008
Ex-New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum registered the highest score in the inaugural season of the Indian T20 League when he made a 73-ball 158 to help Kolkata score 222 and lead the team to a 140-run win.
Manish Pandey’s 114 not out in Indian T20 League 2009
India batter Manish Pandey became the first Indian centurion in the history of the Indian T20 League when he made the highest individual score of the 2009 edition for Bangalore. Manish Pandey scored 114 off 73 balls as Bangalore posted 170 and beat Team Deccan by 12 runs.
Murali Vijay’s 127 in Indian T20 League 2010
Former India opener Murali Vijay made the highest individual score in the 2010 edition of the tournament. He made a blitzkrieg 127 off 56 balls to help Chennai score 246 en route to a 23-run win for his team over Rajasthan.
Paul Valthaty’s 120 not out in Indian T20 League 2011
A relative unknown at the time, Paul Valthaty surprised many by making the highest score in the 2011 season. He made an unbeaten 120 from 63 balls to help Punjab chase down a target of 189 with six wickets and five balls to spare against Chennai.
Chris Gayle’s 128 not out in Indian T20 League 2012
While representing Bangalore in 2012, Chris Gayle slammed an unbeaten 128 off 62 balls to help his team post 215/1 on the scoreboard and set up a 21-run win for them against Delhi. It was the highest individual score in Indian T20 League 2012.
Chris Gayle’s 175 not out in Indian T20 League 2013
Just like in 2012, Chris Gayle also made the highest individual score in 2013 after hitting an unbeaten 175 off 66 balls for Bangalore against Pune. This inning is the highest-ever individual score in Indian T20 League history and helped Bangalore to a 130-run win.
Virender Sehwag’s 122 in Indian T20 League 2014
Indian great Virender Sehwag’s holds the record for the highest individual score in Indian T20 League 2014 courtesy of his 122 off 58 balls for Punjab against Chennai. His knock helped Punjab to a 24-run win.
AB de Villiers’ 133 not out in Indian T20 League 2015
AB de Villiers, also known as Mr. 360 for his all-round strokeplay, made the highest individual score in the 2015 season. He was at his brilliant best and scored an unbeaten 133 off 59 balls to help Bangalore post 235/1 and register a 39-run win against Mumbai.
AB de Villiers’ 129 not out in Indian T20 League 2016
Like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers appears twice on this list having made the top individual score in 2016 as well. He scored an unbeaten 129 off 52 balls for Bangalore against the now-defunct Gujarat team. His century helped Bangalore score 248/3 and register a 144-run win.
David Warner’s 126 in Indian T20 League 2017
The distinction of being the player with the highest individual score in Indian T20 League 2017 belongs to David Warner, who scored 126 off 59 balls for Hyderabad against Kolkata. His knock helped Hyderabad post 209/3 and gave his side a 48-run victory.
Rishabh Pant’s 128 not out in Indian T20 League 2018
Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant’s 128 not out off 63 balls for Delhi against Hyderabad in the 2018 season is the highest individual score for that particular edition. His score helped Delhi make 187/5 but couldn’t prevent them from suffering a nine-wicket loss.
Jonny Bairstow’s 114 in Indian T20 League 2019
England's Jonny Bairstow made the highest individual score in Indian T20 League 2019 courtesy of a 114-run knock from 56 balls. He made the score while playing for Hyderabad against Bangalore and helped his side post 231/2 before registering a 118-run win.
KL Rahul’s 132 not out in Indian T20 League 2020
While playing for Punjab in the 2020 season, KL Rahul made the highest individual score of the season against Bangalore. He scored an unbeaten 132 off 69 balls as Punjab posted 206/3 before bowling out Bangalore for 109.
Jos Buttler’s 124 in Indian T20 League 2021
Jos Buttler’s 124 off 64 balls for Rajasthan against Hyderabad in Indian T20 League 2021 was the highest individual score of that particular edition. His knock helped Rajasthan post 220/3 and register a 55-run win.
Quinton de Kock’s 140 not out in Indian T20 League 2022
Quinton de Kock’s unbeaten 140 for Lucknow against Kolkata in the 2022 Indian T20 League was the highest individual score by a batter. He made 140 off 70 balls as Lucknow posted 210 and beat Kolkata by two runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 124 in Indian T20 League 2023
Rajasthan batter Yashasvi Jaiswal made a 62-ball 124 against Mumbai in the 2023 edition of Indian T20 League. It was the highest individual score by a batter in the 2023 season and helped Rajasthan score 212/7 before succumbing to a six-wicket defeat.
