The Chattogram Divisional Stadium, also known as the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, is located in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Established in 2004, the Chattogram Divisional Stadium has a capacity of 22,000, making it one of the largest sports stadiums in Bangladesh.
The first international match that took place in this stadium was an ODI between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in February 2006.
It also hosted two games during the 2011 50-over World Cup, while the first T20 international at the venue took place in February 2014. This venue also hosted several T20 World Cup games in 2014.
Furthermore, this stadium has hosted group stage matches during the 2004 as well as 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cups and is the home stadium for Chittagong Vikings in the Bangladesh Premier League.

He’s scored 882 runs in T20s at this stadium while representing several different domestic teams and franchises besides also notching up runs here while in the colours of Bangladesh. He has scored one hundred and six fifties at this venue in T20s.
Most wickets
No bowler has taken more wickets at this stadium than all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. He has taken 30 wickets at an average of 20.63 and an economy of 6.25 with best figures of 3/9. Shakib Al Hasan notched up these impressive numbers while representing Bangladesh and a host of other domestic teams and franchises.
Highest individual score
The highest individual score in T20 internationals on this ground was made by England’s Alex Hales, who smashed an unbeaten 64-ball 116 against Sri Lanka in a T20 World Cup game in March 2014. His knock set up a six-wicket win for England.
At the domestic level, West Indies batter Lendl Simmons’ 116 off 65 balls for Sylhet Sunrisers against Minister Group Dhaka in a 2022 Bangladesh Premier League match is the highest individual score here. Simmons’ knock went in vain as Tamim Iqbal’s hundred in the chase gave Minister Group Dhaka the win.
Best bowling figures
In T20Is, Sri Lanka’s Rangana Herath’s 5/3 in a 2014 T20 World Cup match against New Zealand is the best bowling figures at this stadium. Herath’s spell helped bundle out the Kiwis for just 60 runs and gave Sri Lanka a 59-run win.
On the domestic circuit, Shafiul Islam boasts the best bowling figures on this ground. He finished with figures of 5/26 while representing Khulna Tigers against Rajshahi Kings in a Bangladesh Premier League match in November 2017. His spell helped the Titans to a 68-run win.
Highest team total
The highest team total on this ground was made by Rangpur Riders against Chittagong Vikings in a Bangladesh Premier League match in January 2019. Thanks to tons from Alex Hales and Rilee Rossouw, Rangpur Riders posted 239/4 enroute to a 72-run victory.
The highest team total in T20 internationals at this venue was recorded by South Africa against England in March 2014. The Proteas made 196/5 in the 2014 T20 World Cup against England thanks in part to AB de Villiers’ 28-ball 69*. South Africa went on to claim a three-run win.
Lowest team total
The Netherlands hold the unenviable record of being the team with the lowest total on this ground in T20Is. They made 39 in a T20 World Cup match against Sri Lanka in March 2014. Sri Lanka chased down the 40-run target in just five overs with nine wickets to spare.
At the franchise level, Dhaka Gladiators recorded the lowest team total on this ground after they could only manage a score of 88/8 during a 2013 Bangladesh Premier League game. While chasing a target of 143 against Chittagong Kings, Dhaka Gladiators fell short by 54 runs.

Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan hold the honour for having the highest partnership on this ground in T20s. The Fortune Barishal duo put on an unbeaten 192-run stand for the fifth wicket against Rangpur Riders in Bangladesh Premier League 2023. This partnership helped Fortune Barishal to a 67-run win.
On the international front, England’s Alex Hales and Eoin Morgan have the record for the highest partnership at this venue. They put on a 152-run stand for England against Sri Lanka in a 2014 T20 World Cup game that they won by six wickets.
