Sri Lanka’s Chaminda Vaas’ 8/19 against Zimbabwe in 2001 is the best bowling figures in ODI cricket. The left-arm seamer decimated Zimbabwe with his swing and seam movement to bundle them out for just 38 runs - the fourth-lowest total in ODI history. In that innings, Sri Lanka managed to dismiss six batters via leg before wicket - the joint-most by a team in an ODI match.

Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi’s 7/12 against West Indies in Guyana is the best bowling figures by a spinner in ODI cricket. After setting a target of 225, Afridi weaved his magic with the ball to bundle the Dwayne Bravo-led side for just 98 runs.

As many as 11 bowlers have picked up a seven-wicket haul in one-day cricket to date with the likes of Glenn McGrath, Andy Bichel, Tim Southee and Winston Davis managing to achieve the feat in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup.

Stuart Binny’s 6/4 against Bangladesh is the best bowling figures by an Indian in ODI cricket. After setting a target of 105, Binny’s six-wicket haul enabled India to bundle Bangladesh out for merely 58 runs to set the record for the lowest score defended in an ODI match. It’s also worth noting that Binny required just 28 balls or 4.4 overs to claim his six scalps.

Anil Kumble’s 6/12 against West Indies is the best bowling figures by an Indian spinner in ODIs. Meanwhile, left-arm seamer Ashish Nehra is the only Indian bowler to pick six wickets in an ODI inning twice.
