Bangladesh and Ireland sent shockwaves worldwide when they beat India and Pakistan, respectively, on the same day at the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup in West Indies on March 17.
Their qualification to the next round at the expense of two former world champions meant Bangladesh and Ireland would face each other for the first time in history at the Super Eights stage of the ICC World Cup in Bridgetown on April 15, 2007.
Though Ireland beat Bangladesh by 74 runs in the first meeting between the two sides, the Tigers have won the most since then and enjoy a healthy lead in the head-to-head encounters.
Ireland and Bangladesh have played each other in ODIs on 11 occasions with the latter winning seven times and losing twice. Two matches ended in no results.
The two teams will cross swords in a three-match ODI series in March 2023. Before the series, let’s look at all the Bangladesh vs Ireland ODI records.
