Ashwin holds a better strike rate in Tests than the likes of Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, James Anderson, Anil Kumble and Stuart Broad.
Among the 450-wicket mark, only former Australian fast-medium pacer Glenn McGrath comes close to Ravichandran Ashwin for the best bowling strike rate in Tests. He is currently the sixth-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket.
Muttiah Muralitharan | 55.04
Legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan holds the world record for the most wickets in international cricket. Between 1992 and 2011, the right-arm off-spinner scalped 1347 wickets in 495 matches at an average of 22.86. In Test cricket, Muralitharan is the only bowler to pick 800 Test wickets in 133 matches at a strike rate of 55.04. He bagged 67 five-wicket hauls, which is the most by any bowler in Tests.
