On a day every Indian batsman struggled to stay at the crease against Joe Root’s spin on Motera’s rank turner, the domestic Vijay Hazare Trophy saw another clutch of Indian batsmen batting brilliantly to score runs for fun.
Batting first, Mumbai posted a mammoth total of 457 runs on board and 360 of those runs came from Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav. While Shaw remained unbeaten on 227, Yadav scored a quick-fire 133 runs.
Shaw's innings had a whopping 31 boundaries and five sixes, while Suryakumar hit 22 boundaries and four sixes to bring up his 133 runs in just 58 balls.
Twitter couldn't keep calm with such classy knocks on display.

If the batting wasn't enough, Mumbai bowler Prashant Solanki took five wickets by giving 48 runs to help Mumbai register a massive 233-run win.
In another match, out of favour veteran Kedar Jadhav showed that he still has juice in his bat by scoring a ton against Rajasthan. The middle-order batsman played a sensible knock after Rajasthan were down to 85/2 in the 19th over, bringing up his 101 runs in 93 balls, which had five boundaries and four sixes, as Maharashtra beat Rajasthan by 44 runs.
Hundred for Kedar Jadhav - 101* from 93 balls including 5 fours and 4 sixes against Rajasthan in Vijay Hazare Trophy - he played some vital knocks in SMAT and continuing in VH.
