India women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj on Friday became the first woman cricketer from the country and only the second overall to score 10000 international runs across formats of the game.

Playing in her 212th ODI for India, Mithali reached the landmark during the third bilateral match against South Africa, with a boundary off medium-pacer Anne Bosch before getting dismissed (36) the very next ball.
The 38-year-old right-handed batter has scored 6,974 runs in 50-overs cricket at an average of 50.53 while amassing 2,364 runs in T20Is at 37.52 and 663 runs in Test cricket at 51.00. She has registered 75 fifties and eight hundreds to her name.
Mithali is only behind former England captain Charlotte Edwards in terms of the overall leading run-scorer in women's international cricket. Edwards has accumulated 10273 runs from 309 matches with 67 half-centuries and 13 tons.
