Ace Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has denied media reports that stated that the bowler was preparing for life without Test cricket. Instead, the 31-year-old stated that he is continuing to prepare himself “for all three formats” of the game.
Media reports on Saturday, attributing the information to “sources,” claimed that the pace bowler was no longer hungry for Test cricket, and the selectors weren’t seeing him as an option for red-ball cricket.
The angry bowlers blasted the media in his social media post, stating not to “write your assumptions based on ‘sources.’
There have been articles about me not wanting to play Test cricket. Just to clarify, I have always prepared myself for all three formats irrespective of the team selection and will continue to do the same.

The reports arose after the bowler was omitted from India’s squad for their England tour this coming August, where the Men in Blue will play a five-match Test series following their World Test Championship final against New Zealand.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s last Test match appearance came during India’s tour of South Africa in 2018, where he had taken four wickets in Johannesburg. He has played in 21 Test matches so far, scalping 63 wickets and averaging 26.09 with the ball with an economy rate of 2.94.
Bhuvneshwar has been a reliable bowler in the limited-overs for India and was recently seen in India’s T20I and ODI series against England, before the Indian T20 League.
